Kogi BBQ and “Beasty Feast” a Huge Success

During April’s Art Walk, The Bailey Gallery @ P&P hosted the art exhibition "Beasty Feast," a group show by Los Angeles artists Kelly Thompson, Walt Hall, Susan Weber and Carmen Argote. Beasty Feast, an animal themed shows that strives to point out the imagination, humor and fun that art can be, with their own unique artistic styles a feast for the eyes, a celebration of art and a bevy of beasty animals. Over 10 pieces found new homes! We’re thrilled to support local artists and to give them an outlet to show off their talents.

Not neglecting our other senses, the famous Kogi Korean B-B-Q to-go truck was on hand to add to the feast – for the belly! Kogi has become a local phenomenon and some of the most unique and savory bites in LA. Over 8000 people follow on Twitter to find its nightly locations. So if you missed out, you can visit their site to see their upcoming locations.

P&P was lucky enough to host Kogi on Art Walk. Special thanks goes out to our host Cosmo (P&P resident dog) and Item # 11 on Cosmo’s Bucket List.

In honor of Cosmo, the chef prepared a special menu item called, “The Cosmo Dog”. (Pork Belly, Bacon, Onion, Miso-mayo) Even after I wolfed down 7 tacos, I still made room for the Cosmo Dog and was not disappointed – the best hot dog I’ve ever had! Many people came with their dog and were rewarded a free meal at the Pawbar. Dogs need to eat too! The P&P patio was packed all night long as guests enjoyed the tasty BBQ. The line lasted over 4 hours as hundreds of folks poured in to experience the food and art.
