Team Pooch-Stache shaves for Movember

Have you noticed that the balance of the P&P Team has shifted toward more Cat Daddies and Baby Daddies these days? #Truth - We have a record number of men working at P&P, and nearly all of them sport some type of facial hair as part of their everyday style. Naturally, having a more masculine staff we jumped at the chance to form a team for

, a cool way to create awareness for mens' health

(remember our pre-Movember Mutt-stache Mingle in September?).

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in the US and around the world. We advocate for pet health/wellness and social responsibility all year long, so focusing on Daddies, Brothers, Husbands, and Friends for one month is another way for us to lend our support to our 2-legged community. Follow our Team 'The Pooch-Stache'as they transition from Day 1- Clean Shaven to see what style 'stache they can shape-up in the next 30 days. Want to be involved? We welcome you, your family, and friends to join our Team too, make a donation, or kick-start a conversation about mens' health with someone you love.

"My parents were from a generation that started married life and a family right out of High School. By the time they turned 25 they had a 7 year old and a 4 year old. By 30 they had a 12 year old, a 9 year old and a 3 year old..... I only point that our because I got married at 28 and had my first child 2 weeks before I turned 30!

We often say and hear things like, 'Everyone is getting married and having kids later in life'. It's true..... that makes these causes more important than ever. My mother was diagnosed with Cancer when I was 23 years old and passed away not long after her 52 birthday. She was the most beautiful woman that God has ever created and as her youngest, our family was lucky that we were all old enough to know that. It todays world and in my own family it wouldn't be that way.

If I don't stay healthy. If I don't stand for mens health then I might as well plan for my kids not to have the a father the way I had a mother. When I'm 52 my oldest will be 22. My current youngest will be 20. We plan on having more kids so they would be even younger. I can't do that to them. I need to be here.

For every man that has a Child. For every man that has a wife. For every man that has a friend.... be healthy. Get checked out. Do the uncomfortable Dr visits that none of us want to do.... it's a small price to pay to live life.

Day 1..... Shaven... (Much against my wife personal facial hair preference...) Follow along and get involved as we get to Day 30.... The Stache (Actually even more against my wife's personal facial hair preference.)"
