Gluten-Free Chicken & Quinoa Rounds

These treats are quick and easy to make and are suitable for pets with sensitivities to gluten and common grains. Quinoa isn’t a true grain and because it’s not commonly used in most pet foods, it remains very well tolerated even by grain-allergic pets.


1 cup Honest Kitchen Thrive™ dehydrated dog food

1 cup canned (unsweetened) pumpkin

½ cup ground/shredded chicken

¼ cup instant quinoa

1 free range egg

What to do

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Mix the Thrive™ and canned pumpkin together in a medium sized mixing bowl. Add in the chicken, quinoa and egg, and mix until well blended.

Use your hands or two spoons to shape the mixture into balls of a size appropriate for your dog, place each one on a greased cookie sheet and gently flatten.

Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes or until slightly golden on the outside, but soft in the middle.

Cool before serving to Fido.

These treats will store for about a week in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.
