Giant male Walrus's weighing a ton stab each other in the neck for rights to impregnate the female. The Octopus will expand and contract the colored cells in it's skin to mimic it's surroundings for camouflage. Fur, claws, fins, trunks, beaks...these are all tools that were born from billions of years of trial and error, and we are alive to witness these tools in action. I hope these paintings
serve as a reminder of the beauty and perfection of nature and compel
you
to take action for yourselves and the planet
at large. Look up from your screens to lock eyes with an organic
living creature and reflect its boundless beauty by being an organic
living
creature yourself. Unleash yourself. You are alive.” Max is known for his "delightfully twisted" aesthetic and wild live painting shows. Fueled by his fascination with the physiological psychology of the creative act, he believes that artistic processes while informed by science, ultimately come from the unconscious limbic system of the brain and are mysterious. "The subject is just an excuse to paint the line. It's the line itself that speaks, and it always speaks the truth." 10% of the proceeds will go to the World Wildlife Fund. Saturday, June 21 |
