Watts Project started off as a one-volunteer rescue effort 15 years ago when their rescue founder, Amanda Casarez, began helping animals in her hometown of Watts. On September 21st, 2013, Watts Project became an official 501c3 non-profit organization.
Their volunteers work hand in hand with underserved communities to bring awareness of the importance of spay & neuter and responsible pet ownership.
They provide homeless and low income pet owners with food, veterinary care, and other much needed supplies.
Watts Project is dedicated to rescuing abused, neglected, and injured animals off the streets and shelters of Watts, South LA, and Compton California.
“We rescue them, We rehab them, We love them, We let go of them. And then we do it all over again.”
